A washing day with linen...

... the optimum care for your natural product.

The right care.

To ensure that you can enjoy these fine natural products for a long time, it is extremely important to handle linen correctly. Please take the following washing recommendations and care instructions to heart.

Please note:

Damage or defects resulting from demonstrably improper maintenance can be covered by the Linen manufactory Vieböck GmbH will not be reimbursed.

Linen needs a lot of water!

If possible, linen should even be soaked in extra water before the wash cycle. Ideally, the dripping wet laundry should "rest" in the drum overnight beforehand. This allows the water to soak into the linen fibers. The washing machine drum should only be slightly full so that the textiles can still "float" in the water.

Please do not use water-saving programs.

If available, use the "Water-Plus" option.

If linen is washed with too little water

irreparable damage can occur. If the Material absorbs too little moisture, the fibers rub against each other and against the washing drum. This destroys the linen fibers, resulting in pills, lint and, in the worst case, even fabric damage/holes.

No to ECO programs!

Avoid time-consuming washing! When washing linen, so-called ECO wash programs should be avoided. Prolonged washing encourages linen abrasion, which leads to the linen forming lint.

Wash the linen product on a gentle short program with plenty of water and low spin speeds (recommended: 400-600 spins).

If too high spin speeds are selected

this reduces the service life of the fabric enormously. At 400-600 revolutions per minute, the fibers are protected and intensive abrasion is avoided.

The right temperature

Please note the sewn-in care tags ! Depending on how dirty it is, linen can be washed at 30 to 60°C. For colored linen, a washing temperature of max. 40°C is recommended. White or natural-colored linen can generally be boiled, but a larger shrinkage will occur.

Detergent

Harsh detergents should be avoided. We recommend liquid mild detergents without aggressive bleaching additives. Linen is naturally dirt-repellent.

Avoid the dryer!

Linen is best left to air dry. Stretch out and smooth the laundry well before hanging it up. This saves time when ironing.

Never put linen in the dryer.

The dryer damages the linen fiber: the surface is destroyed due to the intensive abrasion and the inside of the fiber leaks out.

Lint, lurch and holes appear.
