Ecology & social responsibility:

Since 2011, we have been able to adorn ourselves with one of the highest organic certificates in the textile industry. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognized as the world's leading standard for the processing of textiles made from organically produced natural fibres. It defines high-level environmental requirements along the entire textile production chain: flax cultivation, harvesting, yarn production, spinning, weaving, finishing and sewing. The certificate also requires compliance with important social criteria, such as: fair pay, no discrimination, compliance with legal working hours, safe and hygienic working conditions, socially responsible management.

IVN Best - Seal

International Association of Natural Textiles

Our linen manufactory is IVN-Best certified as a production facility. However, our products comply at most with the GOTS guidelines, as our suppliers and outfitters are certified according to GOTS but not IVN-Best. The IVN-Best label is a social management label that defines working conditions and social criteria for a company location. Of course, this label also covers environmental criteria.

Regionality and sustainability

All Vieböck fabrics are produced in our in-house manufactory in Helfenberg. The raw material (flax and yarn) comes from Europe (mainly France, Belgium & the Netherlands). The finishing of the linen fabrics is done mechanically and with natural means in Lower Austria.

Vieböck fabrics are mainly used for the production of home textiles, traditional costumes and clothing. In our in-house sewing shop, we produce bedding, tablecloth, curtains, hand- and bath towels, sauna towels,...
